RIVER RECORDS/K
R Krishna Kumar, now known as "K" was introduced to me in 2002, when he was still in high school. I traveled with his band Panatella, to Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, to record their demo.
Cut to 2010 and he has embarked on his career as a film composer, in a huge production spearheaded by an acclaimed director... I built his composing space, a.k.a "Grooveplanet" - a small room on the terrace of his family home. He went on to make many recordings for his next few films, in this very room.
Cut to 2022, and the building has been razed to the ground rebuilt as a no compromise recording studio and family home. The recording space is fully floated and super isolated, and the Control Room is built to Dolby’s exacting standards for Atmos HE Rooms.
There is also a smaller Control Room with 7.1 surround monitoring configured as per International Telecommunications Union standards.

The recording space was designed to have an organic sound and vibe, with minimal traditional acoustical treatments. The sound has a diffuse character, thanks to the strategically placed bookshelves and instruments. The room has character, but no unpleasant flutter echoes. You can hear it in this recent recording I made there.
